Senator Bob Dole is a statesman, World War 2 veteran, and a proud American. He served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee from 1971 to 1972. In 1976, President Gerald Ford selected Senator Dole to be his vice presidential running mate. Senator Dole served as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee from 1981 to 1985, and was elected Senate Majority Leader in 1984, holding the record for the longest-serving Republican leader. Senator Dole was the 1996 Republican nominee for President, and has since been an advocate for veterans, hunger, agriculture, animal welfare, and disabilities awareness.
MACR Chairman Jason Ross met with Senator Dole; and the Senator provided some valuable advice for the College Republicans of Massachusetts. Senator Dole said not to ever be discouraged, never compromise your beliefs, and never give up. It is important to stay true to your values, and never be afraid to be outspoken, and always strive for bi-partisan solutions.
We are proud to welcome Senator Bob Dole to our team.
